OUR STORY
We think what you know is worth sharing.
The longer you’ve been around, the more sh*t you know. To be honest, we started this because we didn’t want the last generation to get left behind.
Know + Tell exists because most people with decades of experience don't think of what they know as expertise. We think it is, and we think there has never been a better time to share it.
Who's behind Know + Tell

My name is Jay and I’m semi-retired. I spent most of my career writing and designing online for big clients. We used to have to turn down mom and pops with great ideas because they didn’t have the budget. And then I watched a lot of people leave the workforce with all this knowledge and lose track of all the modern ways of sharing it. So I started Know + Tell.
It’s just me, though I get a little help sometimes from a small team of people that (like me) are all excited about how the “little guy” (or gal) now has the ability to express themselves in new ways you used to need big budgets and agencies to do. They can create content, videos, emails, websites—all these ways of communicating what they know. And we spend our time putting together tools to help other people get started showing what they know. That’s Know + Tell.
What we believe
- Experience is expertise. A career, a craft, a hobby or something you lived through can all be worth sharing.
- You don't have to become a full-time creator. The best first thing is small enough to make this month.
- Tools should serve the knowledge, not the other way around. We recommend what fits, whether or not it pays us.
